Envirohut™ Containment Systems: Envirohut™ is a non-porous, re-locatable, spill containment system constructed of plate steel encased in fiberglass composite materials. The system consists of a collection sump with a removable platform(s) that positions the tank or equipment above the lip of the sump for easy loading and unloading. The Envirohut™ was originally designed to provide secondary containment for fuel pods and tanks, however, they are also commonly used for Generator, Transformer, and Equipment containment. Custom sizes can be special ordered to accommodate unique requirements.

Construction and Capabilities:

The Envirohut™ Sump is manufactured from heavy-duty steel plate encapsulated in a rugged fiberglass lamination complete with glass mat imbedded into the protective coating. The Sump is delivered as one complete piece, and setup is as simple as dropping the removable pedestal(s) into place and attaching the ball valve to the selected drain port. Canopy erection takes only a few hours. The Envirohut™ and Canopy are easy to relocate by forklift without disassembly.

Inside the Envirohut™ are one or two removable pedestal frames designed to raise equipment above the lip of the Sump. The standard Envirohut™ also includes a 2″ divider wall running across the middle of the system to compartmentalize minor spills.

The standard wall height for the sump is 12″H; however, the sump can be customized to various sizes and heights based on the customer’s needs. The system is available with an optional 10′ high canopy mounted to the system and open on both ends. This option makes it ideal for outdoor use in climates that see high levels of rain, snow, etc.

In addition, each Envirohut™ System includes (4) 1-1/2″ female threaded drain ports with a bronze ball valves for rainwater management.
